Councillor Don Palmer Providing Local Leadership & Working for You

We have attracted several new events into our City in recent years, and the list grows.

Dogapalooza2015PosterOne of these events is Dogapalooza 2015 which will be held as part of the Adelaide Fringe at Orphanage Park on Sunday 15 March from 10am – 3pm, (Poster attached). The event is run by volunteers and all proceeds go to local animal rescue charities Oscar’s Law and SA Dog Rescue. Tickets are $13 however as part of our sponsorship we have negotiated for all City of Unley residents to receive free entry to the event.  Residents will simply need to show some ID to our Customer Service staff at the Civic Centre prior to the event, and they will be issued with their entry tickets.

The event will feature an impressive line-up of local musicians – The Timbers, Kelly Menhennett, Cal Williams Jr, Emily Davis, AP D’Antonio, Tara Carragher, Emily A Smith and Adie Haines! Gates open at 10, and the music kicks off at 11. There will be dogs available for adoption on show at the event, and various fundraising stalls including SA DOG RESCUE, Oscar’s Law, and Animals Australia. The City of Unley rangers will be at the event promoting responsible pet ownership with the dog and cat management board interactive trailer.

Sounds good to me. If you are free on the day, please bring your dog and a rug/cushion/chair and help save the animals!
