Ventured down the the Unley Memorial Gardens tonight to experience yet another of the ongoing Ignite Unley events that we have undertaken during this summer.

I have been to a number of these events and found them to be relaxed and enjoyed by those present. The crowd numbers tonight were not untypical of the other events we have staged.

Tonight had a different flavour with 4 stalls offering boutique bears. I sampled three; couldn’t help myself. And while I was sampling the produce I noticed the Mayor dancing in the Rotunda with his lovely twin nieces.

Of course as I was crossing Unley Road to get my car and go home he tried to run me over, or was he just saying high?

The Ignite Unley program has been a bold initiative of activating the Memorial Gardens. I cant wait to see the report from Admin as to how they see the success or otherwise of the program.

For me, it is great to see our residents enjoying the green facilities we have, not that we have that much compared to other Councils.
