Subsequent to my post from earlier this afternoon last minute advice reveals we will be contributing an extra 8.4% to the NRM Board this coming financial year. No ifs buts or maybes.

So while we are all feeling the pinch with all these statutory increases we at Council are in the same boat. As we put the final touches to our budget and get set to approve it, this is just another of the issues we have to address before putting pen to paper.

We will be paying levies totalling would you believe of $ 1,021,835 this coming year. This is equal to 3.3% of our total incomes from the rates we collect from you.
