The much awaited revised plan, put together by consultants Worley Parsons, was endorsed by the City of Unley last night.

It needs endorsement by all the other affected councils before it can go out to public consultation. When that might be I don’t think I can predict.

What I can say is, with what we have heard and seen in the press the City of Mitcham will again be challenged to accept a plan put in front of them because of opposition to damming in the foothills by their residents. I believe they are talking with Worley parsons about alternative options.

I guess this very much will be watch this space.

Let us all hope that something will be forthcoming or we may find the Stormwater Management Authority step in and take it away from the councils and I know who (as a citizen) I would rather be consulting with when the options are Council vs State Government.
