I received this memo yesterday and feel everyone needs to know the message, most particualalry those of us who have had trouble sleeping lately as they wait news on whether they have lost their deposit or not.

SUBJECT: Update on Solar Easy Scheme

This memo gives a short update on the solar bulk purchase scheme undertaken by the ERA councils

The current situation has been that Ferrier Hodgson had become the receiver of Solar Shop and they have been seeking a buyer for the company for a period of time. You will be pleased to hear, I am certain, that this has been successful and I have been given the following brief details today:

• The buyer is Australian Solar Electric (part of a larger, Melbourne- based group called Premier Solar Group www.premiersolar.com.au); it already has an office presence here. They wants to retain the Solar Shop name and thus will be trading as Solar Shop Australia.

• The buyer has a background in commercial installations, and is keen to be involved with residential installations as well.

• I have been told that the new company are in a very strong financial position, and intend to complete all installs before Christmas.

• Australian Solar Shop will commence calling all customers (inc ERA and our residents) awaiting installs today and into the next week.

• Customers will receive a follow up call within a fortnight advising them of an install date.
